Multiple Dental X-rays at 8 weeks?

X-rays at 8 weeks pregnant?
I am terrified because I had a toothache and a previous dental appointment and they did x-rays. I had previously called the OBGYN to ask them if it was okay to get dental x-rays. They said yes, no problem at all. But now I read that it should have been avoided, and I am terrified that it may have harmed the baby. They did a panaromic and about 10-12 others. At least they were digital x-rays, and supposedly used 50-90% less radiation than regular film x-rays. I know I can't change it--I was stupid not to know more for myself before I went, but am still worried and wondering why the doctor's office said go ahead and do it. We told the dentist they were pregnant and they said okay as long as the doctor said so (later they told us they don't usually do x-rays in the first trimester-after the fact!)

Help! I am worried sick! They did use the double shield on the abdomen.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and just had dental x-rays done today. My dentist told me not to worry at all about it but then i came home and just had to search about the subject on google and all I find is people writing about how dangerous it is. I'm freaking out. But then I got to this page here and it is good to see that your baby was born perfectly healthy even though you had x-ray done during the pregnancy. A bit of a relief. Thank you!
