My period is about 11 days late. I took a pregnany test 3 days ago and it was negative. I have no signs or symptoms of pregnancy.

In the beginning of September, I had an abortion. I bled for about 3-4 weeks after that, and the doctor said that was normal and that is wasn't my period at all. I started taking birth control the day after the operation, and when it was time for my period to come around, I skipped the placebo pills and continued taking the birth control pills.
So I should have gotten my period 11 days ago, but nothing has happened.
I have been under a GREAT deal of stress for the past few weeks and also on antibiotics for a rash that I developed in my pubic region. I also just got over a yeast infection. And now to top it all off, I have the flu.
Should I be worried that I AM pregnant, or do you think its just because my body is all out whack?
Any input or answers you have would be wonderful! Thank you.

Chances are being sick and stressed as well as antibiotics are what causing you to not have a period. Give your body time to heal.

I was taking the placebo pills while I was on the antibiotics, and my doctor said it wouldn't effect them at all. I did take a test about 5 days ago, it was negative. And like I said, I've been under an incredible amount of stress lately and am now very sick. I'm thinking this has a lot to do with it. I'm sort of spotting as well- it looks like it usually does just before I get my period, but I'm still waiting for it to happen!

There are many things that could delay your period - stress, sickness are two of these. That being said, are you aware that antibiotics will effect the birthcontrol pill (can prevent it from working)?  So, if you have been sexually active while on antibiotics and didnt use a 2nd form of birth control you could have up to a 25% chance of pregnancy.

I recommended that you take a test.  If negative, repeat again in about a week if you dont get your period.
