Mystic Tan and Breastfeeding?

I would of posted this on the breastfeeding forum but there really isn't very much activity on there. Today I went to go get a mystic tan (the spray on kind) because I am sick of being pasty. Here in AZ it is already getting hot! Anyways when I went there they told me that it was okay to breastfeed after getting it... but now I am kinda freaking out since it went on my nipples as well. I'm thinking I'll supplement with formula for a little while since I can't shower for 4-6 hours to get all the excess stuff off. I don't know I just feel like maybe I didn't think this threw as much as I should of and I don't want to not breastfeed for 7 days.... so does anyone know if its okay?

Yeah they had it at my place too and I was sure to put it on my cuticles and the back of my feet and my elbows... but I didn't even THINK to put it on my nips! :)

The place where i go to has lotion in the room for the purpose of keeping the spray off of places you don't want it to be.

Lol I didn't even think of using the lotion on my nipples but you are right that would make it not get on them! :)

I think that you should be Ok if you try to wash it off.  The next time you go to get the mystic tan, put lotion on you nipples just like you would around your fingernails or between your fingers and toes.  This will allow you to just wipe it off when you come out.

Yeah I was thinking about that! I need shields I mean honestly who is going to see that part of my body anyways. I feel so bad I wish I would of thought of all this BEFORE I got it done. I've given Aspen 2 bottles in a row now and she just looks at me like "you have got to be kidding". Ugh.

Just wash your nips with some warm soapy water and a damp cloth. If you lean over your bathtub and do it, you shouldn't mess up the rest of the tan.

I'm pretty sure Aspen will be just fine, too. Supplementing nursing may make her confused or upset. So just try to wash off a little bit. And maybe you can get pasties or stickers next time you go so that the tan is everywhere but there? Just an idea!
