so sorry to hear that happened. i'm sure alex is in a better place. thats so awesome about ur doctor, there aren't many of those dr's out there. i changed my ob bc i didnt' feel that i was treated very good. again i'm sorry to hear about ur loss. take care and good luck on ur next pregnancy... i'll pray for you!! baby dust!!
We did another u/s last Tuesday and confirmed no growth and no heartbeat. Thursday I was induced at almost 13 weeks and had a miscarriage that day. We named him/her Alex, as we did not know the sex yet. I lost too much blood and had to be taken to the hospital. All is well and I am recovering. Sad times. Pray for our next pregnancy (our doctor told us to try again after 1 more cycle). She is truly the most amazing doctor and I feel so blessed to have had her at a time like this. I couldn't imagine having my previous doctor during this time. She stayed at her office with me overtime (2 hours) until I had to be in the hospital. A good doctor that share your values is worth a million.

It's hard to find a HB at 11 weeks with an abdominal doppler. It's just as hard to find a HB at 11 weeks with an regular abdominal ultrasound. They are sooo tiny that sometimes when they move it makes it difficult to get a HB. I would reccomend getting a transvaginal or vaginal ultrasound because then it is a lot easier to get the HB.
My docs could see the HB but couldnt hear it until 12 or 13 weeks on a doppler, but even then there were times where we couldnt find the HB. But my doc never worried. I am currently 37 weeks 1 day with a healthy baby boy, so there is still hope. There is always hope in everything so don't give up.
Im wishing you the best, and you will be in my prayers.
Thanks, guys. I was so sick from worrying the last u/s that I have decided to try to stay positive (through a few tears) and still "be pregnant" until I know for sure (i.e. I start to actually miscarry). Thank you so much for the prayers. I am hopeful this baby WILL live!
Don't have an answer either but hope everything turns out well - All the best and take it each day at a time
I don't have an answer but I just wanted to send hugs and prayers your way! Stay strong!
WEll I wish you the best, but i think even with a transab u/s they should pick up the heartbeat by 11 weeks, even if the dates were off, they should see the heartbeat by at least 7/8 weeks. Not hearing it on the doppler at this point can be totally normal though. This baby is sendng you on a roller coaster and i hope this is just another bump on the ride and that you have a healthy rest of the pregnancy. I'm glad your Dr has not suggest a d&c so many of them do that right away
