New single mommy

I just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant. The father doesn't want anything to do with the baby. I'm in the process of applying for Medicaid, and WIC. But when I went to make an appointment for obgyn, they told me I had to go through my previous primary physician when I had tricare(military insurance) but I never had one. Can I just go to another office when my Medicaid goes through and not tell them about my tricare? It expires in August... but I don't know what to do. Help?

You may have had a primary physician on your Tricare even if you never met him.  Call them and ask.

They will still find out about tricare and will bill them if medicaid doesn't cover it because they look at tricare as your primary. I live in Indiana and until my medicaid kicked in I was given presumptive Eligibility for pregnant women. It last for 30 days until your medicaid kicks in. But idk if it applies in every state
