Newborn pics

I'm ftm and wondering about newborn pics. When should you schedule? Possibly a week after your expected due date? Do hospitals have photographers?

Hmm. I guess I'll have to find out what my hospital offers. My husband said we can just prop the baby up on the couch. Lol. He loves to joke with me, so I know he's not serious. I'm from WV and I'll be having my baby in Charleston, so I think with a bigger hospital that they should do photos. Who knows about the hospital from back home though.

That is true lol that's great about hospitals having photographers where I'm from (ohio) all they have is someone who comes in and takes a photo of the baby laying there (its just a head shot). And those are very pricey too :(

I'm glad the hospital will have a photographer. I live over an hour away from the nearest JCP or Sears. I could have it done afterwards with a professional closer to home, but that seems like it'd be a hassle and it'd probably be up there in price with the hospital. That's awesome your friend is a photographer lisaerin86. You'll save money, plus can really know what you're getting.

I am due june 25th and have my newborn pics scheduled for july 8th (just in case I go over my due date plus the 2-3 days you stay at the hospital). A friend of mine is a photographer so she will either be coming to my house with all her stuff or we may go to the park. I also will have an almost 2 yr old so we will be getting his pics and a few of my hubby and I with our little ones.

The hospital will have someone come in and see you after delivery to see if you want the babies pictures taken. They're pretty pricey tho. I waited and had all my kids done at JC Pennys. They charge $7.99 for like 50 pics and they're really good with the babies. I waited until they were a month old so they'd be awake lol.
