Nipple Question

Hey Ladies

Just a quick one

Had EXTREMELY painful nipples for over a week and tested BFN.

Since then the pain has gone away but i still havent got AF (Which isnt unusual as i havent had my period since coming off the pill at the begining of sept)

Has anyone ever heard of a woman having VERY VERY VERY sore nipples that have stopped being sore but have still been PG or does this just mean its a no-go?

Thanks :)

adawning1:  Well this pain lasted over a week but disappeared about a week ago so if it was OV i'd be due around now (which may be the reason iv been having mild cramping).
I dont know if or when AF should be due as i havent even ad a period since stopping taking the pill in early september. This has been really worrying me as i hear most people have a cycle within 6 weeks of coming off BC??

Wonder12: I absolutely hate milk :) So i guess thats a bonus!!

In pregnancy I have never had sore nipples or sore boobs. However when I am ovulating only my nipples hurt they get very sore and tingly, water absolutely hurts them. So its possible that your ovulating and its possible your pregnant. I recommend taking a cheap test and one thats popular at the same time first thing in the morning, around the time of your AF. Best wishes to you and let us know!!!!

You can get a positive test earlier than 2 weeks. If you're pregnant you're just more likely to get a positive if you wait 2 weeks after conception, but technically you can get a positive 7 or 8DPO, even though its rare, it has happened. A couple ladies on this forum tested 8DPO and they got a positive, so it's possible! Good Luck!

I also have had really sore nipples, extremely sore, but I tested negative and then had a light period.  This has been going on for a couple months now.  I am right there with you!  I have decreased my milk intake, though and switched to organic milk - it has made the sore nipples more tolerable.  I think it is because there are so many hormones in milk that it does weird things to our hormonal level and causes an increase in estrogen or something.  Just a thought, might see if it works to help with the symptoms while you are figuring out what is going on.  Congratulations on your husband coming home - it is always nice when you have someone to support you!

Count two weeks from those dates. You can get an early positive by testing at the very soonest two weeks after conception.

Gee thanks :)

I havent had AF in such a long time i dont evenknow whether to expect AF or not but i have had EWCM a few times over the past month which i have never had before and also i have never had sore nipples before.

For over a week they were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO painful that even brushing my hand past them was making me gag.

I dont want to get my hopes up but i was really sure this was it.

Pain has gone but still having cramping so who knows....... hopefully one way or the other it will be good news.

If we concieved on either 27th / 28th Nov or 4th/5th Dec when would we expect a BFP???

In pregnancy, the symptoms come and go. So it's hard to say one way or another since you got a BFN. So... your best bet is to see if AF comes or retest. So it is possible to be pregnant as the symptoms do fluctuate.
