I've been on birth control for 5 years and in October I took a break for 2 months then continued in December again since my face started breaking out again. The first period back on the pill was weird, it was just brown discharge for 5 days, but cramps and clots. I took a test, it was negative. Then my second period on the pill was extremely weird as well. I always have cramps and now I didn't even feel the period coming and there was only small bleeding and no clots. I took the test it was negative.
However, I had a flu, fever didn't go above 100F,weird dreams, nipples grew. I took a test it's still negative. I also need to mention that I missed the pill twice.

Starting the pill,stopping the pill, then startrit again can mess up your periods because it's confusing your body's hormones. But if you aren't sure visit your doctor for a blood or urine test.

I was on the pill for about five years also and I stopped taking it completely in December I had a period at the end of December but not another and I took test after test and all negative at the beginning of this month I took one and it was positive turns out I was already 6 weeks it just took it awhile to show up in my urine

The only way to know is if you go to the doctor and have them take a look and run some tests. I know it's not the answer you were looking for. But unfortunately even doctors can't answer this question on the internet. Good luck!
