I plan on doing some shopping on Good Friday since I have the day off of work, and packing up the bag for the hospital...I'll be just about 39w then =) I'll probably buy a nursing tank and a nice pair of pj's to wear around the house if/when we have guests that first week. I HOPE and PRAY I can nurse!!!
when i do get pregnant *crosses fingers* i will be most likely investing in everything i can lol. included nursing bras and tanks. i guess it just depends on ur preference.
With my DD, I had a couple of nursing tops/tank tops.
I live in Germany and nursing is very accepted here - some even show a lot when nursing in public and no one thinks anything about it! I however, can not do that! I need to be covered, but to throw a blanket or spit towel over me feels too conspicious. Getting a few nursing tops made nursing here or in planes or in restraunts or in the US easier than not having them.... but like so many things with birth and having babies, it is a personal decision related to how you feel and how often you nurse in public and where!
I would maybe buy one to try but I wouldn't go crazy buying breastfeeding materials, as you need to make sure you can, and that it works for you first! =)
Best of luck!!
i never bothered with nursing tops. breast feeding can be done discreetly enough with regular tops.
Nursing bras and nursing tank tops were all I wore under my regular tops.
I never did. I always wear a tank top so what I did was lift my top shirt up and then pull my tank down on one side under my breast, that way my tummy was covered and my shirt worked as a great cover up over Noah's head.
Nursing bras are obviously a must!
I did nurse, but wound up not really liking a lot of the nursing tops and tanks that I tried. I wound up selling them on ebay! I did like the nursing bra though. :)
I didnt until months into the nursing process! I wasnt sure if/how long I would be able to nurse for and what size I would end up being so decided to wait.
