OT, Please look at my chart?? Could really use your help.

I was just wondering if you lovely ladies would check out my ovulation chart and see when you all think I ovulated.  I'm kinda on a "break".  No meds, dr. visits, no tests but I was temping closer when it was around the time I usually O just to make sure.  I've been on clomid for 3 cycles and this was my off cycle.  I was thinking I O'd on Feb. 14th (valentine's day, how cool is that? lol) and my temps started to rise but a couple of days before that I had my first temp dip.  Anyways, I really appreciate your help. :D

Our bodies are differnent at different times in our lives so it is hard to say if the birth control is the culprit or not. I would go to medical records where you got your last blood test and ask for the results. It should be over 12 to be good! If it is not you can always show your RE yoru charts and say your feeling that your progesterone is not OK with the slow rise, short luteal phase where your temp is not staying up good and with your irratic cycles. It is weird he even put you on Clomid as it is meant to aid with woman who are not ovulating!! I say that you take a break with the CLomid and do the progesterone stating the day after you O then you take it till AF shows up or you get a guanitative blood HCG that is not the qualitative where it says yes or no but gives an actual number. Then if you are you continue it and if not you stop cuz it can delay your period. But it has to be a full blown period ebfore you stop and if you miss a pill it can make you mc! I missed the first two days as my pharmasisit did not get it in time and mc. But you clearly need it!!! Besides if you are boarderline you will need it anyway once you get pregnant most likely and it harms nothing! You can only take CLomid for so many cycles anyway before taking a break, you don;t have to take a break with the progesterone. You will see a clear rise and change in your temps!!!! It amased me and amaszes me how many woman need it and are having hormone troubles! Best of luck to you!! Let me know what happens

Note that not every woman's luteal phase is 14 days -- that is the average. A normal luteal phase is usually 10 - 15 days.

I have a luteal phase defect as my LP is only 7 days. I actually discovered this myself while charting. I found that my cycle became much clearer to decipher when I started taking 100 mg of B6 every day -- my temps really evened out and I finally got a clear rise.

Best of luck!

Thank you very much!  The RE did tell me I had low progesterone.  I am ovulating and was put on Clomid for 3 months but before this they did all of my blood work up and did say that I had low progesterone.  When they did this test though I had just came off of Birth Control for over a yr.  Do you think the reason I had low progesterone then was because of that or does it look like it's still going?  I've had it checked since then and they tell me it's fine. :(  I don't know.  My cycles always vary.  The clomid made me ovulate later than usual.  Only 2 or 3 days but still later. After 8 yrs you'd think something would have happened by now.  Thanks so much for looking and replying. :)

It is hard to tell when, I looked at all the months you charted and you seem to have not really O two months including this one. But it is hard to say if you are either not Oing or just have a progeterone deficency. Your luteal phase varies which means a hormone issue. The luteal phaase is always 14 days, it is the first part of a owmans cycle that can vary. You have a slow rise and your temps do drop off to soon after you O when it was clear you did is why I would say you have low progesterone instead of being anovulatory. If you did O this month I would go to say it is clearly progesteorne and you might need to go on suppliments to make your rise more better and stay up longer. Best of luck to you and sticky baby dust to you! If you do get preggers make sure they check your progesterone first thing.
