aww i'm sorry about tonight, and that really bites with your husband's leave. They never think of things that way, they just think of what works the best for their scheduling. My husband worked for DoC for awhile and they were pains in the behind about leave. Hope you have this one on one of his days off. Prayers for good luck and good timing for you!
Yeah that was gunna be my back up plan but I got 2 problems,
1- our mall is gEy and ain't doing no trick er treating like most NORMAL malls do.
2- hubby has the car and I have no way of getting there even if they did do something.
Oh well.
There's always next year.
I'm just glad she's only 12 1/2 months and doesn't understand.
Next year should be better cuz hubby's brother is moving back to our area with his wife and 4 kids.
So if hubby's working this halloween, he won't be next year, and all of us can go and Ivy will have her 4 cousins to enjoy the evening with aswell.
Plus we'll be 21 next time and we'll be able to have an after party with all our friends later on that night. lol
I guess I'm really not that bummed about taking Ivy out cuz she, like I said, is still really young and probably would get fussy after 20-30 minutes of walking around.
I'm more just bummed about what might happen to hubby with that stupid maternity leave.
I don't get how people think these days, the birth of your children is one of the most important things to ever happen in your life and they're gunna deprive him of that!?
How would his leutenant like it if she was her husband and her husband was her and they had a baby and she could be there for it!!
Maybe try the mall like we're going to do, and go with a friend? I dunno, what a bummer! Happy H-Day anyway!
Cuz I don't know the neighborhoods around here, and I'm scared to go out by myself.
There's been alot of things happening in this city lately, and there was an Amber Alert out last time I heard.
I'm 36w5d pregnant and I wouldn't stand a chance if someone were to try to pull a fast one on me n my daughter.
If hubby was with us it'd be different cuz he's been trained to get in control of a bad situation and overpower the person he's trying to restrain.
I guess there's always next year we can try. =/
OMg this is crazy: my name is Ivy, my DH's name is Josh...our baby girl is Kahlan :) hehe how crazy. We're taking our little girl to the mall for trick-or-treating even though she's only 13 months...photo ops! I'm sorry your husband couldn't be there for DD, praying that he'll be there for this one for you! Don't expect bad luck, because I think it begets itself. Good luck, and good thoughts! Happy All Hallows Eve to you too :D Maybe you can take Ivy out (freaky typing my own name 'cause it's so rare, i'm not used to that! hehe) for a little bit like blueeyed suggested. Good luck and hope everything goes well! Happy Halloween!
Sorry to hear about DH having to work:-( But why cant you just take Ivy out??? I always end up taking my kids out by myself. DH will join us if he can leave work. But I love taking them out. We will more than likely be out for at least 2 hours tonight. I wish it wasnt so darn cold and windy. I guess we cant have everything, right?? At least its not snowing. I woke up this morning and there was snow falling!!! It wasnt much but I seen it. We have already had a few inches at the begining of October, ugh!
