I'm just curious to know when all your babies started teething and how old they were when they cut their first tooth.
My oldest son cut his first two bottom teeth sometime around 4 - 4½ months old. He had about four bottom teeth and four top teeth by the time he was 12 months.
But my youngest son, who is about to turn 11 months old in a few more days, has yet to even show a hint of cutting a single tooth. He has very strong jaws and has gotten pretty good at "chewing" soft foods, but there is no sign of any teeth coming up under his gums. I feel his gums, both top and bottom, almost daily, but nothing.
I'm not too terribly concerned just yet; I'll ask his pedi about it again at his 12 month check up (I already asked at his nine month check up, and as I figured, it wasn't a concern).
Just wondering how common it is for babies to start teething and cutting teeth after 12 months old. It would be nice if he had a few teeth by now because he eats more solid food than breastfeeding and bottles anymore...just seems it would be more helpful for eating, obviously.
At the rate he's going, he'll be walking and talking like a pro before he has any teeth, lol.
