Agree that this is so just your personal choice and there is no right or wrong answer.  I had both of my sons done--  not a dramatic thing as you'd hardly know it happened. They briefly cried and then it was back to normal.  And it was the right choice for our family and we are glad we did it.  But it is just as good decision to not circumcise.  It's whatever you feel most comfortable with.  good lcuk

I wouldn't because it typically is purely cosmetic. Most parents get their child circumsized because everyone in their family is or whatever. As long as you clean it properly, and teach your son to clean it properly there is no issue with it.
You have the same chances of catching STDs whether you are circumsized or not, contrary to belief.

I've done my research and talked to my doctor. Tho my mom isn't for it and is giving me a hard time about it I'm still getting my son circumcised. Tho is does have its cons just as it does if you don't get it done, it can help later on in life. For instance, it can help prevent the spread of STD's. With foreskin it can hold bacteria that can be passed during sex even if he cleans it properly.

And I don't think that they are necessarily hard to care for they just need to be well with diaper changes and bathing. For me it was easier to circumcise and take care of that to worry that I wasn't cleaning it properly or worry that he wouldn't clean it everyday or properly when he got to that age that he had to start doing it himself.

It's definitely a personal preference and something that should be decided between you and your hubby. Maybe research it a little more and talk to the pediatrician that you choose for your babies care and see what they have to say about it. Good luck!  :)

Actually it is a yes or no question hence why I asked yes or no. If you don't have anything to say don't comment.

It isn't a yes or no kind of question. Every family has to make their own decision. It's a very personal decision and a very controversial one. You'll likely get quite a bit of heated discussion about it.

Well where my husband isnt. I just feel like if I have a little boy I shouldn't get his done either.  Are they hard to care for if they are not done??

I'm personally am for circumcision. For my family it works. My husband isn't circumcised and neither one of us has the experience to properly care for and keep clean. I also have a friend who's brothers had to get circumcised at 10 and 13 because they got infections :( i just worry that when they get to the age where they are too old for me or dad to bathe and clean them that they are still going to be to young to properly clean the foreskin area.
