Ovarian Cysts...Please help
I am a 24 year old women. I have had one abortion and just found out that I am pregnant again. I am looking at getting another abortion. I just went and got an ultra sound and found out that I have ovarian cysts. Will I still be able to get an abortion? I really did not want to get surgery, I wanted to take some medications.
Girls think of the emotional part to before takign such a big step! Ovarian cysts are no big deal! They can hurt if when they rupture but do not harm you in any way or a pregnancy. Have you thought about adoption? Don't worry about the cysts for surgery but be sure that is what you want.
You said you ahve had an abortion before. Having another one can cause great health risks to you! It causes scar tissue and is not like a DNC! Scar tissue can grow and effect your female parts for the rest of your life and ever if you choose to have a baby to keep you amy not be able to concieve or could miscarry form the scar tissue or have a uterine rupture. Get informed consent on this. WHich is not just hearing the facts from the dr doing it but hearing all the risks involved which dr's never give you. THer are lots of hot lines and web sites that show aht can happen to you and what it does to your body you were not told about. I pray you have the strength to make the best desision for you with your heart and not out of fear.

Hey there. I am kinda in the same boat as you. I have had problems with Ovarian cysts since highschool. mine get really big and instead of going down they keep growing and rupture. it is the worst pain i have ever been though. make sure that it doesnt happen to you by talking to your doctor and get them checked out. so i have been on the pills to stop this from happening since sophmore year of highschool. i am 19 now and i just found out last week that i am pregnant. i am off the pills but i am afraid of cysts. I am also going to have an abortion and i dont know how that is going to affect me physically.

Are you sure you really want and abortion? Why not adoption. Some cysts are not as harmful as others. YOu may be able to go through with the preg. .
I have cysts on my ovarys and they shouldnt stop you having an abortion but are you sure an abortion is what you really want
