Ovarian cyst

Hello everyone well i just found out that i have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary that its a 9.6 almost 10 cm big...but the part that worries me the most is that I'm pregnant and expecting twin girls and my doctor told me that we need to remove it. They would have to remove it with a small abdominal surgery. Even though doctor tells me that everything its gonna be alright I'M SUPER SCARED to think that i can lose one of my baby's. What should I do? should i do the operation or should i wait till the baby's are borne to remove it...........SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

If you want to add me as a friend you can message me and ask me whatever you want....are they putting you all the way under? I was so scared so I know how you feel, but I think you made the right choice!! It's so hard being a mom sometimes....making hard/scary decisions that you know are the best. You did the right thing..hang in there sweetie, it'll be over with by friday evening and you'll know everything is okay :)

Thanks guys u gave a lil bit of hope and strength....so we decided to go ahead with the operation. Doctor tells me that its better to go ahead and get it done now cause if we don't remove it at now later wen the baby's start growing they could kick the cyst and cause it to twist around my ovary and cause the operation to be more dangerous for both of my baby's and me. So I'm scared but at the same time i want what's best for them so my operation its schedual for this coming Friday at 4:00 pm

I understand exactly what you're going through (well, almost, LOL). at 34wks pregnant they told me I had to have surgery to get a kidney stone manually removed and insert a stint, and they would have to put me under completely for the surgery. I was up all the night before surgery (obviously in pain) but praying and crying because I was so terrified. They put me under....but my daughter apparently didn't like people poking around inside of me because she kept kicking every time they tried to go up into my ureter tube. So obviously she was awake. good heartbeat, no problem. I literally worried myself sick with terror that night for no reason....I'm sure you'll be fine. They're very good at monitoring the babies during operation and will bring you out of the anesthesia very fast if something starts to happen, so I wouldn't worry. You could always explore your options like Jo0581 said, but you should be fine...it's amazing how strong babies are, especially girls, and how much they can go through. If your doctor thinks you need to have it removed now and considers it necessary to take the risk to remove it now, you should probably consider it very important :). Good luck hon, stay calm.

If the doctor thinks it may be hazardous to the children and yourself, then I think you should have it removed. Doctors are very careful and have many techniques to deal with these cysts. It may be an idea to sit down with your GP and go through the different ways they can deal with this - then you can make an advised decision on the way forward from there. The less you know, the more you are going to panic and stress, hich definately isn't good for your children, so go and find out. I recommend that you DON'T google because this can throw up other things that can scare you even more.
