Ovidrel and HPT

I took Ovidrel on May 10th. I did the insemination on the 11th. I took a hpt 10 dpo and the again today (12dpo) and both were positive. Is it at all possible that it could still be the Ovidrel? On other cycles the hpt would come out negative starting about 8 dpo. Also the positives were all strong/dark positives.

For most women, the trigger shot (ovidrel) will be out of your system within 10 days. I tested one month to see how long it took, and the line kept getting gradually lighter every day, and by day 10 it was negative (no second line). So I have a feeling you're pregnant!

Oh and the cramping could be a good sign too! I've had that all three times I've gotten pregnant.

If I were you, I would try another test in a day or two!

Best of luck!

I have been feeling a little nauseous but mostly in the late afternoon nothing big. Other than that, just mild cramping and a little tired. I do have to run to the ladies room more often than usual. I do run the risk of having multiples since this last ultrasound showed 6 matured follicles (I won't be having that many though!!)

That does sound promising.  By waiting a few more days it is unlikely that HCG is left in your system so that can be ruled out.

Do you have any pregnancy symptoms?

I did get the 5000iu of Ovidrel 14 days ago so I'm hoping the Ovidrel is out and it's the pregnancy picking up. Thanks!!!

Sorry = 2 typos in my post.  Here is what I intended to say in the 1st sentence:

From what I found on the internet, traces of HCG from Ovidrel can remain in ones system for up to 14 days so you canT rule that out as giving you a false POSITIVE.

Best of luck to you!
