PLEASE SOMEONE RESPOND!!!

I have had PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) in the past about 5 yrs ago and my husband and I have been trying to concieve but haven't been getting any luck, do you think I'm not getting PG because of having PID in the past? Do I still have a chance of becoming PG? Did PID cause me to become infertile? I'v also been having brown spotting at least every day for the past 2 months and I dont know what it could be from, I'v tooken a pap smear and a pelvic exam but the results came back fine. For the past 2 yrs my periods would come regularly but they would be brown instead of red and then for the last 2 months I have been spotting brown every day, what do you thinks going on? Please Help!

Thanks guys so much for your advise and comments. About your question on the Pill, well no I did not recently get off the Pill, I actually gotten off the Pill about 2 yrs ago so I dont think its from that. I only had PID for a very short while, I gotten it treated right away but I should probably still get that HSG done huh, I'm guna ask my doctor about that. Thanks so much for bringing that up cause I never even heard of that. So what do u think my brown spotting is coming from?

Just to let you know I had a very bad case when I was young. They said I would never be able to have kids. Well guess what happened..... yes I am. I was not even trying and was on birth control (and penicillin). I am stiil high risk because of the PID when I was younger but just keep trying! Good luck.

I agree with danyaile.  if you had a very severe case of PID it could cause scar tissue that could be blocking your fallopian tubes.   I would ask the doctor about getting a HSG, which mean they will try to shoot dye through your tube to see if their is any blockage.

did you recently stop taking birth control so that you could become pregnant? i don't think that the pid made you infertile unless it was a vary severe case that went untreated. that's when you end up with scaring which makes it harder to conceive.
