Could still be PPD, even though you are not pulling away from the baby. I suffer from PPD after each baby. 6 so far and will have #7 within the week. I still always adore my babies but cry gallons, am very depressed, trouble eating, sleeping, etc. I take anti-depressants for a little while and get better much faster. Once I feel better, I simply stop taking them. If you feel this becomes overwhelming, I would recommend you speaking to your doc about it and getting on some meds. They are safe while BFing, as I always BF. Good luck!
Ah, well I just saw your post about the fact that you had a c-section too! Goodness....def don't be hard on yourself, you are also healing from major surgery too. That's prob a huge reason why your appetite isn't normal!!
This all shall pass! I hope you feel better soon!
It probably is more than likely hormones or just a nice little stint of baby blues. Your life changes drastically and it is exhausting. I had this issue too, especially when my baby turned colicky. I am not, nor have I ever been a napper. I feel like I am missing out on something if I do. Just seems impossible to me. Don't get down on yourself, your lack of sleep will make you feel way too tired to do anything around the house and don't worry about letting some things go. You just had a baby, you are entitled to a messy house!! hehe
As far as not eating, that could also have to do with you not sleeping and maybe even stressing about the whole thing as well. If you don't eat big meals, maybe just snack throughout the day. You even need extra calories because you breastfeed so try and eat what you can.
