Braxton Hicks shouldn't be painful. Not bad enough to bring you to tears. I hope you called your Dr just to be on the safe side. Keep us posted.

My braxton hicks were pretty painful, but I have heard that they get more painful w/ each baby.  I've had 5.  Sometimes I would think I was going into early labor but when they wouldn't stop, I knew it wasn't braxton hicks anymore!!

The best thing to do is the lay down when you can.  You can take warm (not hot) baths also to help.  Tylenol is also safe throughout pregnancy.  May not be a bad idea to give your doc a call just to put your mind at ease though.

Braxton hicks shouldn't be that painful, how far along are you? I suggest you call your nurse at the clinic and leave a message.
