Period on Birth control???

Hi I was just wondering if you got pregnant on birth control, would you still get a period(withdrawal bleeding)? I know anything is possible but for the most part...also, when would you test positive? Also, if anyone has gotten pregnant on birth control...what was your experience with it? thanks!

wow that is crazy--well i vomited one of my pills in the middle of the pack and just kept taking them like normal--had sex two days later and then my period came on time but it was pretty light and all of my hpt's since then have come back negative...then this month my period came on time and was a ton of brown (sorry tmi) and then bright red for a day and a half so just wasnt sure if that was a safe sign...

I fell pregnant while also taking the pill, and antibiotics. Yes, we both knew it COULD effect the pill but we just forgot and got carried away. I tested positive about 4 days before my period. I had some spotting and suspected it was implantation bleeding since I had also been taking antibiotics. Sure enough, positive and I stopped taking my pill. I did not get my period but continued to spot until finally at 6 weeks I miscarried. They had been monitoring my Hcg levels that week and they had dropped. They did say that taking the pill while pregnant had nothing to do with this.

I do have to say, how crazy is it that it can be so hard to fall pregnant then just having a few pills not work, happen to have sex at the right time, the egg manages to be fertilised then actually implants is quite amazing! Especially considering I read that 50% of fertilised eggs don't make it!
