Period or Pregnant

Lost a baby June 10, 08 and had a D&E (not D&C) on June 13.  I got my first period since the D&E on July 12 08. I had sex on June 15, July 10, July 27, July 31, Aug 8 and Aug 11.  Not sure when I should get my next period but my regular cycle is 33 to 34 days. Thought I should have gotten around Aug 14 or 15th.  It is now Aug 26th and no period.  I've taken two pregnancy test both were negative.  I did call a doctor and he said the miscarriage or D&E would not push my period back especially since i got my period back for the first time already.  Every now and then I get a few cramps, bad headaches, achy nipples and back pain but thats about it then it all disappears.  Can I be pregnant or is my period coming.  Really need serious answer any comments appreciated!

ovaz thanks, i got my first period july 12 and havent had one since. I did go to the doctor last week. urine and blood test neg he gave me meds to come on period and clomid i am not going to take either of them

Sheir- thanks- Well b/f left me about the beginning of Aug said he couldnt deal with the miscarriage/loss etc so i guess in a way losing the baby was God showing me this is the man for me.  Im honestly not to worried about him i was just hurt being 33 and not ovulating like i should it might have been my last chance to have a baby. I have a 15 yr old daughter and a 1 yr old son.  Believe me, 15 yrs apart was def not planned.  I just have a hard time having children. Sheir email me sometime and keep in touch.  I dont think ill be coming back to the post for awhile unless a miracle happens.  it hurts to bad to see preg women.  My email is ***@****

I think that you need to go see your OB.  It has now been 8 weeks since your miscarriage and you should have had a period by now.  My doctor told me if AF wasn't there within 8 weeks, I needed to be seen again.  They will give you a medication to get your body back on track so you can have a period and ovulate.  Remember, you can't get pregnant unless you ovulate :)  So, go make an appt. and have fun TTC!!!

(i've been tru it too) im worried as i didnt really see u post elsewhere too.. so i wan to know how r u doin.. thank u for the reply, so glad u're doin well.. n u'll nvr know, when u r 'not ttc', u might get surprises! in my last pregnancy(the 1 that ended in a loss) i was surprised too cos my hubby and i didnt really ttc that month, so i dunno when she was concieved actually as i was very stressout & sick(due to work)... i'll b ttc again n again... :)

Thank u so much for asking how i am doing, havent heard from to many people since i posted my urine preg test came back neg, so u asking means alot. Well urine preg test was neg but still no period. The doc did take a blood test on friday so i will know the results today.  Im not real hopeful that it's positive.  im finally getting over the fact im not preg and ready to just move on. I dont think im going to try anymore if it happens then it happens if it doesnt then its not meant to be.  The doct did give me several medications one to make me come on period and one to ovulate (clomid) but im not going to take any of them.  Im just going to let things happen natural.  Again thanks so much for asking how i am doing i appreciate it!

sorry to hear that, but follow up with dr to talk about taking a medication to bring on yur cycle or to see how long you shud wait to c if it comes. Take care of yurself

Well went to Planned parenthood and urine pregnancy test was negative.  I have nothing else to post im just so upset.  Good luck to everyone

oh yea I was blabbing so much I forgot to say d= dialation c= curetage which means Scrapping not Cutting. Scrapping n Cutting r 2 different things. And far as d&e it involves suction and sometimes scraping so to really no what yur dr did u have to ask. They may say we did d&e and a person may have only neededva certain area scrapped, I wud ask yur dr did he/she have to do any scrapping while they were suctioning/evacuating

Well interesting topic. D&E D&C. 2 different things but they are both invasive procedures.  To say u wud rather have one or the other it rally depends bcuz with d&c sometimes yur uterine lining could b so thick that the scraping was needed. With d&e sometimes dr mite not evacuate e dry thng out and u end up going back 4 d&c. Hahn any of those procedures or a natural m/c is trauma to the body and some people bounce back qquick n some dnt. All of these pregnany hormones is regulated by the endocrine. There r a couple of thngs that could b going on with u. U could b preggo, but I would imagine if u were yur levels should b greater than 25 to b detected on hpt. If u did not receive u/s to confirm every thng was out, or blood test to determine yur levels were at zero, it's possible to still have some particles left over from d&e. The majoity of women(not all) first cycle is abnormal, meaning it is not the exact same as all the cycles u had b4 procedure. And jus bcuz u had one cycle dnt mean it automatically will come next month. Any trauma to the body will have yur systems wacky. Not to ADD stress can play a factor in a lot of things, and ttc is stressful, especialy when we want something right now and will b very disappinted if we dnt get what we want at that time. I wud not b surprised 4 all the women ttc that got bfn's & were complainig of tummy pains, if it wasn't a stress ulcer, it wud not shock me. So, in conclusion,it could b a range of things and u need more assesment to see what is going on with yur body, u dnt want to not go to pph bcuz if it's negative and blood test negative and more days go by u mite want a medication to bring on yur cycle. There is another lady on here, months ago who had similiar situation had first period then thought she was preggo and didn't get cycle until almost 2 months after that. Yes every woman is different. I hope it's a BFP for u, but I wud go ahead with test today, if it was me, I wud b getting u/ s & hcg level done. I'm interested into knowing what the outcome is so I'll be waiting patiently for yur post on what happens. FYI: I've had both d&e & d&c back n 95 I had to go back for d&c after d&e bcuz of small tissues stuck to uterine lining. Recently had missed m/c June 12, and d&c june 17th. My cycles were always heavy and lasted 7 days of bleeding and 2 days of discharge, NOW it's lighter and only last 4-5days. I've had 2 cycles this far. Wow, that was a mouth full, umm, SSBD to u. Plz keep us posted:)

I sure will as soon as i come back i will post.  To tell u the truth if its negative i preobably wont come back to post.  It hurts to much.  But i will pray for u as well.  Just a word of advice if this is first baby.  U need to see a OBGYN asap.  Planned parenthood are good places but not mainly for pregnancy well not in my area anyway lol Good luck

I have to go to Planned Parenthood also, hopefully today. I'm new at being pregnant and I don't know where to go from here lol. But try not to worry if you are pregnant you don't want to stress the baby out. Good luck I will send all my prays your way. I can say that I am nervous myself. I have had two blood tests that came back positive, but they were really low numbers. And then out of the blue the home pregnancy test came back positive so I hope I am still pregnant. As far as symptoms, I only had one, I was tired alllll the time. Now I have the tiredness, feeling like throwing up, spotting but not bleeding, sore back, stuff like that. I hope things go good today for you (and me lol). Please let me know how it goes.

by the way congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everything goes well with the pregnancy.  I am supposed to go to the Planned Parenthood for a free preg test today at 10am.  I kinda dont want to go because i will be so hurt if it's neg.  With the miscarriaged pregnancy my test didnt show up positive until i was about 9 weeks.  Even though the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks.  I dont know if i should wait or what.  I'm not having any symptoms.  But then again i was 6 months preg before i knew i was preg with my son lol had NO SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS what soever.  The only thing that has changed recently is im constipated but that could be anything.  Believe me im very regular but the last few days hasnt been the same (TMI) sorry.  I'm just scared of the results

If I remember correctly I did miss one or two after the miscarriage. I tried to be the calm one, but it didn't work out that way. I have always had a 5 day period and when it didn't come I got scared so I went to the Dr. and he said it was normal in some women. So good luck and please let me now how it goes.

Thank u so much for ur imput.  I know it was a long time but do you ever remember missing ur 2nd period?  My said the miscarriage or D&E has nothing to do with pushing my periods back.  he said since i got my first already on July 12, 08 then i should be back on track.  So far nothing yet.  It is refreshing to know someone else who did home preg test that always comes back neg.  I didnt tons of test with the miscarriage one and all were saying neg until i went to doc and got blood test which confirmed. get back to know me id like to know what u think

I wanted to say I had a miscarriage almost four years ago and it has taken a long time for my cycle to become normal again. I hope your pregnancy test comes back positive! I just did a urine test and it came back positive for the first time. I have also never had any home pregnancy test show positive. But I'm proof it can happen.

i think you should give it another week then take another test, if neg then just make an appt at the doc and have a blood test taken... good luck to you.

I sure did!  :)  I also had a natural miscarriage in March 08 and my cycles were all messed up again.  It is super annoying, especially when you are TTC and figure out when you should BD!  But, after 4 months or so, the time between each cycle decreases and you can start predicting when AF will begin.
