Plan B

My boyfriend and I had given each other oral than kissed with tounge contact.. then oral again. Later that day (Nov. 5th) I realized that some of this pre-***/*** may affect me from the transfer. I took Plan B on Nov. 7th, and got some bleeding starting 12th night to 15th morning. So roughly, 3 days. Two weeks later, I bled again from the 28th (my normal day) for about three days again.

Was this bleeding indeed my period? and in conclusion, does it mean that I am not pregnant?

I don't it's possible that you are pregnant.  I think you did the right thing as you said you don't abuse it.  Sounds like you have things under control.  Good luck and take care!

I thank you for your comments. I'm very inexperienced in all this, and I am just scared of what is going on. I have researched like crazy about what has gone on with my body. Plan B was something I felt I had to take in order for me to feel somewhat secure. It was the first time I even had to think about the option. I'd just like everyone to know that I am not abusing it and that I've surely learned my lesson from all this.
I thank you for all the information you gave me, but I would have liked it if you talked about my situation. I know views come into play, but how about we put our opinions aside and just discuss the human body.
If you were all to decide, am I pregnant or not?

Getting back to the original post, are you thinking you're pregnant from oral contact, then kissing? You can't get pregnant from oral sex. If there was no sperm near your vagina, you are not pregnant. Or are you saying that you had his "stuff" in your mouth, kissed him, then he gave you oral so you think some of his stuff was in his mouth, therefore in your vagina? I HIGHLY doubt that. It most likely died while being in his mouth. The plan B should have worked though, but I have never heard of anyone getting pregnant that way. Good luck.

All right, I'm not here to start trouble. I understand we won't come to agreement about this. I know what I've been told and I've seen what has happened. Obviously experience doesn't matter, but I will not push my personal opinion on this. It has nothing to do with my religious affiliation. I used to be a Wiccan and still believed all of this. So don't try to blame this on Christianity.

But I will not stand by and be quiet when someone is using something harmful to herself. And Plan B is really not good for you. As far as docs go, my previous doc prescribed meds to me that were not even FDA approved and were still in research mode WHILE I was pregnant (I obviously did not take them). Doctors only have a few credit hours on pharmaceuticals during med school. If you want real info on these pills, talk with a scientist who creates them, or a pharmacist.

I'm done with this thread. I just want to get along with everyone, so I apologize if I've offended any of you. My opinion still stands.

Not to be obnoxious....but birth control pills are synthetic hormones.  They dont abort anything, as far as i know from the medical resources I consulted.  The hormones are designed to prevent ovulation.  here is a copy/past about how BC pills work.
"How Birth Control Pills Work
At the beginning of each menstrual cycle, estrogen levels begin to rise. Estrogen helps thicken the lining of the uterus (endometrium) to prepare for a fertilized egg. Once estrogen levels peak, about 14 days into the menstrual cycle, one of the ovaries releases an egg. This monthly release of an egg is called ovulation.

After ovulation, progesterone, another reproductive hormone, begins to rise. Over the next seven days, progesterone further prepares the endometrium for a fertilized egg. Conception occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself in the uterine lining.

If conception does not occur, both estrogen and progesterone levels drop, signaling the now thickened uterine lining to slough off or shed, and menstruation begins.

From just this one source, I dont see anything that relates to aborting a fetus.   Maybe I am misinterpreting.  As far as the plan B or morning after pills, I do not know how they work.

I hardly think anyone is a fool for having an opinion ? BUT i will say that ALOT of christains HATE any form of birth control and i have ALSO heard that the pill is a form of an abortion ( but not really either cause the egg is ONLY JUST fertlised and when is goes to implant the womb wont let the egg .. and expells it from the womb ) kinda like a mini abortion and the egg can get fertlized every month and every month u have a kind of mini abortion ..
BUT THAT BEING SAID!!! i also would rather teenagers take the pill or every people not ready to concieve take the pill and stop having UNWANTED babies that are treated like **** and then thrown into docs care OR abused in any sense of the word!!!

I MYSELF have taken the pill for a month when my old boss ( a christain lady informed me all about the pill being an abortion drug and blah blah blah ) i went to my doc and she told me all about how the pill works IT DOESNT STOP THE EGG being fertlized so therefore u can still fall pregnant sort of but the womb wont accept the egg .. but most contraceptions are mini abortions ..

AND the PLAN B will only stop an egg attaching for 72 hours after ... if the egg has already attached to the womb then the PLAN B will not aborted that child ( hence my 1 year old son )

AND ALSO an abortion word is used when the womb expells the fetus so the word abortion can be used in miscarriages and any other place where a child is expelled from the womb !!!

Ignorance is bliss, isn't it? I'm trying to inform people so they can make informed decisions. We have doctors come to our seminars. We have doctors who work at the pregnancy center. We also have scientists. I'm not trying to preach anything on abortion. I'm just stating that it is a form of abortion and those pills can be dangerous. I CARE about the fact she used them and is now confused and scared. But I'm done arguing. Fools can't listen to reason.

I know that you feel really strongly about this... but I dont think your "seminar" gave you all the information. I used to work at a pro-life company and I know that a lot of the seminar's they have kinda twist the truth around. I would trust my doctor with telling me the correct information anytime. He isn't there to preach abortion or anti-abortion but to make sure his patients are okay and to give them the information they need. Since he does have a degree in all of this I'm sure his information would be a little more accurate than a volunenteer at a crisis pregnancy center. I'm not trying to be rude but I mean its just one opinion vs another and I don't think you should tell someone that they did a form of abortion when really to most people... its just an extra form of birth control.

Also, it is not 100% effective. Which is why you were still pregnant. Lots of women still get pregnant on birth control. It is not a perfect form of birth control. It does not protect the egg from the sperm. The sperm can still reach the egg.

Just had a seminar where this was discussed in detail. Not all doctors have seen everything.

Birth control pills also cause abortions. People really need to research and get their info straight. Hence the name BIRTH control. What the pills do is abort the fertilized egg if conception takes place. That's why you bleed. It is a form of abortion.

Abortion does not just mean that you go to a clinic and have a doctor do a D&C. It also includes miscarriage, in fact miscarriages are termed "abortion" by doctors, past and present. It is a medical term, not just a medical procedure.

Plan B is not a form of abortion. In fact its actually a very high dosage of regular birth control. Those pills do mess you up and they should never be used as your form of birth control because the dosage is so high. All it does is protect the egg from the sperm... but if they reached it first than they would have no effect what-so-ever. I got pregnant off of the morning after pill and quized my doctor about it like no other and he said that he hasn't even seen a miscarriage caused by the pill or anything harmful to the baby because of it. Bleeding is a side effect from it though and it sounds like you did get your period. Usually you get a little bleeding/spotting within the week that you take it and then go on to get your period around the same time.

Actually it is a form of abortion. I work at a crisis preg. center. I have to know information like this. Information that doctors won't tell you. Think about it. If you conceive and then take a pill so you won't be pregnant...

i think the bleeding was a side effect according to the package of plan b. it says that it can make your period come early or later. i dont think its a form of abortion though. i dont think your pregnant.

Plan B is a form of abortion. If you conceived, that bleeding you experienced was either a side effect or a m/c. Only a doc could tell you. Those pills mess you up. Don't take those anymore. They're not safe! I'm so sick of doctors telling people that they are safe.
