She went for scanning yesterday and for some blood tests, more tests will come. The doctor (eurpean hospital) said that everything seems to be okay and that the baby is fine. She got ferrous sulfate, folic acid and tetanus injection. I googled it before she starting to take the new medicines and what I could see it looks like the know what they are doing.
Last night I finally got me some sleep. Don't think we can do so much more except from more controls in a month.
I'll write here later if anyone would be curious of how everything is going.

you're quite welcome, that's what we are here for. Good luck and hopefulyl everything will be ok. Please keep us posted on her progress!
She is going to the doctor today, for scanning, blod tests (several measuerments) and more. This is "The Gambia" we are talking about, which of course can't be compared to your treatment or ours here in Sweden. But she is going to the best hospital (private) and we will see what they say. My plan is that she will go there once a month until she travels to my country.
By the way, you seem to know so much more the hospitals/doctors in my country. I've been in contact with them for myself before and I'm usually dissapointed. I got in contact with doctors in the US when I studied there - so much different.
It will probably take some years to fully see if there were any damages. If there are any we have to coop them, day by day. But if not, I will be the luckiest on earth!
Thanks for your answers, means a lot!!

She can say that she didn't know that she wAs pregnant when she took the pills and then she can't get in trouble. She really needs some prenatal care asap and needs to be taking vitamins
Your all so sweet for answering my questions! You have no idea how much that means for me right now!
Well, she has to go to a doctor and be honest and tell them everything, the pills she had and so on. I've really tried to convince her to do that, but I can't control her. The problem is that she is living in the Gambia and abortion is illegal. She might end in jail for that. So, I'm trying from here to get all the information I can. The doctors here in Sweden (were I live) can't help me, but I will try with several hospitals in other towns. The problem is that they don't recognize the medicines she took. You on the other hand know about them, and for me you would be better doctors then they are in this case ;)
Do you have any idea of how the big the risk can be? If the risk is lets say higher than 10% than it's getting really scary and I'm not sure it would be good to deliver the baby in that case. It's my sone or daughter and I want him/her to have the best life.
It has been going very fast, but I'm ready for the baby. I know I changed my mind, but it wasn't because I don't love my fiancee, it was beacuse everything was so stressful. I worked hard when she was here, she got angry, it was dark and cold, she has low education, don't speak the lagnuage here and in the end we decided to break up because it was too tough. I love her, she loves me and we want to have a child together. Our plan is for her to move to Sweden as soon as possible, can be as soon as in 1-2 months.
I'm sorry for it got like this. I wanted the abortion, and suddenly she told me she had done it. I didn't know she was eating medicines, I didn't know it even was an option. You girls would say: "Men...!" ;)
mom2ariana> Thanks for the praying!! I hop God can forgive me..
Love you all for your help!

I know that penicillian is safe when pregnant so drs have told me
There are few pills out there that will induce an abortion unless they're made for that. Ovrette when taken accidentally doesn't cause problems. In your case, I have no idea.
Menstrogen is synthetic estrogen that is used to force a period by shedding the uterus lining and I think can also be used as an emergency contraceptive. In some cases it causes fetal death. The others I'm unsure of. The chances your baby would have defects I would imagine would be higher than the average because of the methods she choose to use. In the first trimester babies are very susceptible to medications that are taken and could have an adverse affect on the developing brain and organs. She HAS to be seen by a doctor, and to be honest about everything. Make sure you're truly ready for this baby. From an outside view point, you don't seem to be since you attempted to abort with random pills rather than get proper medical care for it. Only a doctor will be able to advise you on what to do now.
honestly i cannot give you an opinion about those pills; the best thing she can do is go see an OB doctor and have them do an ultrasound to check on the baby. they will be able to rule out SOME birth defects but not all.
it depends on the category of the medicine. you can look up each individual medication online, but some medications are categorized as category a or b which means they are safe to take during pregnancy, while others are c or d. c means that they do not know enough about the safety of the drug to say for certain whether or not it is okay to take it and d means they know for sure that it can cause problems. babies during the first trimester are very fragile and that is the most important time for their growing & developing bodies & organs.
id look up the medication she took and also get her to an obstetrician asap. she needs to be unfront and honest about what she took so that your baby can get the best prenatal medical care possible. if they do not know, then they cannot help the situation.
i know i dont know you but i am very proud of you for deciding to keep your baby; birth defects or not. he/she deserves all the love you can give :)
my prayers are with your baby that nothing is wrong!
Menstrogen is Ethinyl Estrodial which is considered to be a tetrogenic agent meaning it has been known to cause birth defects. The risk of the birth defects can be significantly lowered by reducing or eliminating the exposure to this medication. Some of the known defects caused by this med are heart defects and eye and ear anamolies
Cloxacillin and Cimoxycillin are forms of penicillin and are considered safe to take during pregnancy and studies have shown there is very little to no risk of adverse affects on the fetus.
The best thing for her is to see her doctor and be monitored at this point. Being as she only took a few pills of each it's likely that her chances of having caused any defects will be minimal. Although there is still a chance so it's best that she begin receiving good prenatal care now. Good luck!!
