Position of the baby

So, when does baby take position, usually staying head down? At my last u/s baby was head down, but lately when he been getting hiccups I am feeling them on my right side and little high up on my side….I am 31w2d today. I have another u/s in two weeks I’ll be 33w2d by then and I’ll probably get one more at 37w. So, when does baby stay in position?

Both DS and this baby were in position by at least week 28 - likely sooner, since I hadn't seen my OB since week 24 prior to that.  I'm due any day and baby has been vertex (head down) since then at every appointment.  I know that they can possibly still flip around later, but this gets harder as the baby grows and has less space to move around.

The baby can move around from one position to the other, up to a little before you give birth. That's when the baby head should be down in your pelvis.
