Im pretty sure u can still breastfeed. I plan to,breast feed and my dr didnt say anything about not being able to breast feed if its positive.
Gbs can affect pregnant women I've lost 2 baby's I've had it with both my pregnancys and more likely gonna happen again I'm a carrier of it its affected my pregnancys but it only affects some pregnant women and you only develop gbs in pregnancys and when you've had baby it goes just keep this in mind but dont worry it doesn't affect every pregnant women
I jus had my baby on Wednesday n I tested positive for it they jus gave me medicine through an iv during labor. The baby has to stay at the hospital for 48 hrs to be observed.
Can u still breastfeed after birth? I tested positive too.
My doc just tested me, so idk if i have it. But she said it doesnt matter if i have it, it doesnt affect adults, but it can make baby sick so they give u something during birth to not spread it to baby.
I'm GBS+ also. It's nothing to worry about. You have to get IV meds during Labour every 4 hours until you give birth. Because of this it is important to get to l&d as soon as your water breaks or you start having regular contractions.
Oh ok. Cause I asked him if he I had to take meds and he said no. Only the penicillin at birth.
I tested positive with both of my kids. But my doctor gave me meds to take then after I delivered they checked my babies and they didn't have it. But I'm assuming BC your so close to having your baby there going to treatiit thru ur IV during labor
