Post Pardum Vaginal Delivery Questions

Ok, a couple questions...

1.) Will my disgusting flabby gelatanous jell-o gut ever go away?

2.) Is it normal to have hemmoroids still?

3.) My stitches still havent dissolved and are itchy.. Is this normal?

4.) I have weird thick discharge.. Almost looks like a mucous plug? Normal or not?

I am miserable and HATE looking at myself more now than ever.. Any advice or hints would be appreciated. Thanks ladies.

Hate to burst your bubble but for some women that flabby skin will never go away, sometimes it is just stretched out waaaay too much. Believe me I know, as does my mom and my sister who are both work out aholics and NEVER lost it, my mom finally got a tummy tuck to get rid of the skin.
The roids will go away but unfortunately they may come back from time to time.
Not sure about the discharge
Sorry to be such a downer but everyone's body is different and some peoples bodies can bounce back and some cant, it is all genetics.

ITS ONLY BEEN A MONTH!
And you may have to do some adjustments about dieting and working out...if its not extra-baby pounds it can turn into permanent-extra pounds.  Think about it... ;)

Thanks all!

Mumita.. I hate spicy food so that is a non issue.. My a$$ hurts all the time.. It's annoying and uncomfortable..

And best yet, I think I am getting my period.. Pink when I wipe.. yay.. Oh, and a yeast infection.. I think the stitches are maybe healing, but it's WAY too itchy to just be that.. I think I may have an infection... Uggh..

I think I will start saving my change for liposuction.. I hate dieting and I hate working out... I can never find the time or energy to do it. I actually dont mind walking, but I cant in this cold..

Oy.... I am *trying* to hang in there...

I will try and keep telling myself "it's only been a month..."

Well Laura you know I'm still pregnant but here are my answers:

1) Oh GOD I HOPE SO!!  otherwise I will think long and hard before doing this again. Work out and eat your veggies.

2) Avoid spicy foods?

3)Its normal. Try not to scratch.

4) Maybe you're ovulating, avoid sex.

1.) Will my disgusting flabby gelatanous jell-o gut ever go away?    YES! If you work hard it will. I signed up at s park p eople (don't mind the spaces). It's a website. You can track your food and it will tailor your diet and exercise to meet your specific needs. I lost 8 lbs in one month before conceiving again. When you have the go-ahead to exercise, start SLOWLY! You have to use weights and cardio, not just one or the other.

2.) Is it normal to have hemmoroids still?   Yes

3.) My stitches still havent dissolved and are itchy.. Is this normal?   Depends- how long ago did you have baby? Most stitches dissolve within 6 weeks.

4.) I have weird thick discharge.. Almost looks like a mucous plug? Normal or not?   Lots of hormonal things going on still. Hang in there! It won't last forever.

*HUGS*

Man its been a long time for me but I think i remember.......

1.) With my first it took me unfortunately quite a long time to loose my belly.... like 9 months.... but it does happen and it does take time.... Please dont let it upset you or get discouraged it does take a while for your body to adjust to NOT being preggo.... and it definitely at 6 weeks.... so you are doing great for 4 weeks pp

2.) OH YES..... very normal to still have them.... my daughter is 10 and I still have them... not all the time... they just flair up every once in a while..... sometimes they fully go away and sometimes they dont and they will just come back and flair up once in a blue moon!

3.) Yes.... very normal.... the itchyness is a good sign.....means your healing and they should desolve and fall out shortly..... Your doc will definitely check them or the area on your PP check up!

4.) The discharge is normal too.... your body is still trying to get used to all the different changes going on..... you just had a baby and everything... I mean everything is off whack!

I know how hard it can be to adjust to the new baby....new feelings... and new body... it can be very sad... frusterating.... and make you just plain feel awful! Things will all fall in to place though and you will have your body back (somewhat :-P) It just takes some time to get used to everything!

well lol...
1) I still and yet have to lose my flabby belly..daniel is two months yesterday!! lol It goes away with time..just look at your baby and remind yourself that thats why you belly is the way it is!! ( all of it for  a very good present if you ask me)!! :)
2) I still have mine from my first born. They neevre went away and shes four!! lol...Soo...
3) Stiches i had mine until daniel was exactly like 5 or six weeks....they will dissolve or fall out when you are healed! Like mand said your doc will reassure you at your 6 week pp checkup!! And itchyness means its healing!!
4) The dischagre is normal...hahai had that too!! After i stopped bleeding!!  then i had it then got my period and am now on my sec period sence he was born!!  ans i doll am breastfeeding exclusivley!! HA talk about unfair! lol
youll be fine..your only 4 weeks pp...you need to give yourself and your body time to bounce back..ill tell you though i joined weight watchers and have been on it for two weeks now and lost 6 pounds!! :0 its for breastfeeding moms so you dont lose oyour milk supply..i can already see a difference AND i feel better about myself..think about it..it takes nine months to put on all that extra weight..not going to come off over night!! Give yourself a few more months hun! I bet youll do fine!!

1) YES!! lol give it a few weeks.. mine went away fast because I was bfing but my friends baby is hmm 2 1/2 months and she still has her pouch.

2) YES. I still have mine.. sometimes they dont go "all the way away" is what my nurse told me. :(

3)Stitches should disolve after 2 weeks.  Your doctor will let you know if its a concern at your 6 week check up

4) Can't help you there. I bled for 3 1/2 weeks and then it went away.. can't remember what happened after that.

You'll start feeling better about your body after awhile although it will never go back to "normal"  My stomach is flat again but my skin can still be pulled and stretched, my boobs are smaller than they were before I got pregnant and even sag a little :(

Good luck!! and be happy!

Laura;

1. "gelatanous jell-o" ha ha! This will go away. How far post partum are you? I wore SPANX Higher Power girdles for 6 months afterwards and I felt much better about myself because they made my body smooth. Are you nursing? That will help everything go down to normal much faster.
Also, my sister in law is a trainer and she told me that the best exercise is when you have burned 300 calories in 30 minutes. This can be done easily. I used to jog for 40 minutes on the treadmill and reach 400 calories, but now that I am 3 weeks away from delivery I just put it on the highest incline at a 3.4 speed and walk for 30 minutes. Even with that change I am able to reach 300 in 30.

2. I don't know as I didn't get those

3. Depending on how far along post partum you are they should dissolve by your six week appt

4. What color is the discharge? After my "battle wounds" healed I had a brown discharge for a while, which is old blood.
