Pre term!?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have been having cramps off and on the past couple of days. I am not sure if I should go to the hospital and see if I am having preterm labor or just relax?

If you get 4 or more contractions in an hour they say to go in. If they are irregular though its most likely just BH contractions. I dont remember BH contractions hurting this bad with my first pregnancy but with this one Ive almost constantly felt crampy. If you are concerned though contact your doctor and ask them. Something that may help though is to drink 2 big glasses of water w/ 2 tylenol, pee and go lay on your ledt side for an hour. See if they get less and count how many you get. I had preterm labor at 32 weeks and had to go on full bed rest and get steriod shots in my bum to develop the babys lungs in case she came early. Not something I would wish on even my worst enemy.

Listen to your gut.... If you feel this is pre term labor, then go to Maternity ward... Seriously you dont want to deliver at 31 wks.

Oh they are contractions I am sure they make my lower tense up and get hard. My doctor is on vacation and I am debating whether to go the hospital or wait it out. I have a child already and he was born at 36 weeks. I just dont know what to do!?

Cramping isn't exactly a huge cause for concern. As your pregnancy will progress you'll get those more frequently. It's when you're contracting frequently that you need to be seen.

If you ever have more then four contractions in one hour then you should see your doctor.
