Pregnancy after Blighted Ovum

I found out I was pregnant for the first time January 21 2010. Went to the Doctor at 8 weeks to find out I had a blighted ovum. I fully miscarried on March 19,2010. I had 2 regular menstral cycles and then found out I am again pregnant on July 3 2010. I am almost 5 weeks along I have called and schedualed an appt with my Doctor and they don't want to see me until I am atleast 8 weeks. I am scared to death the same thing will happen again. I am new to this forum. Does anyone have any experience with this, And if so what is your story? Have you had healthy pregnancies since?

My second baby angel was a blighted ovum. The doctor told me that it is rare I will ever experience another one. I got pregnant 5 months later and had a healthy baby boy in September 2009 and expecting baby boy #2 in November. He told me that some eggs and sperm are missing the correct amount of chromosomes, and that is what happened to us, either my egg or my husbands sperm wasn't right. Good luck!

i got pregnant in feb 2011. on my first ultrasound doc said that baby's heartbeat couldnot b detected. i was taken aback. i had never imagined it.i took harmonal suppliments from outside and went for subsequent ultrasound but for no use. i got d&C done.
now i hve missed my periods and upt shows very very faint line. more than happiness, clouds of doubts have engulfed me whether i will be blessed this time.

I read online that after a blighted ovum you have 80-85% chance of carrying to term, which is better than the usual 20-25% chance....They said that the blighted ovum is particular to that pregnancy only and probably has something to do with a chromosomal error . Not sure if i remember that word correctly and it's spelled wrong....
anyway.  But this is a different egg/sperm and so this pregnancy really has nothing to do with the last....
I always assumed a blighted ovum had something to do with the womb, but it actually only has to do with that particular baby.
GOOD LUCK and SSBD to you.  I hope you have a great and healthy 9 months :)
