Pregnancy after D and C

Background Information:
I went in for my 11 week appointment and had an ultrasound which detected that the baby did not have a heart beat and that the baby stopped growing at just over 9 weeks.  I then had a D and C on Feb. 19 and experienced heavy bleeding for 2 weeks.

I had no bleeding for 6 weeks and today (6 weeks 4 days) I had very, very light spotting.  I was told by my doctor that I was medically clear to have unprotected sex so my husband and I have had sex several times since the bleeding stopped.

I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative.  When I started to bleed today I thought it was my period but not I do not think this is the case.  Could this be implantation bleeding?  If it is would the test yesterday be positive? How long after implantation bleeding can a home pregnancy test be positive?  What is the first period after a D and C like?  Has anyone been in a similar situation?  Please share all your information!

Like you I went in for my 12 week scan and found out baby stopped growing at 6wks 4 days after seeing a heart beat at 6wks 2days. I had a DNC and only had very light spotting for about 4-5 days after. I went 45 days before getting my cycle again. It wasn't back to my normal 28 day cycle for 6 months.
It's now been two years and I'm with a diffrent guy and I'm so much happier and now 18 weeks pregnant.
Good luck on TTC again. I have heard your more fertile right after a m/c but don't know from experiance.

I have read that after possible implantation bleeding it can take 2-4 days for the hcg to be high enough for it to show positive on a home pregnancy test. I had what I thought was implantation bleeding 10 days after I ovulated and 11 days past in the morning I got a negative but that night I got a positive I am now around 5 weeks pregnant. Good luck, sorry I couldn't help with anything else!
