I had a leep procedure done at age 21, had a child at age 25 and I am currently pregnant with my 2nd at 31. I had no problems from the leep. I have carried full term and have dilated normally. My first was a vaginal birth and I am hoping for the same this time around. As far as I know I have never had a miscarriage either. It was also extremely easy for me to conceive. The first was an accident and this time I conceived 28 days after I had the mirena iud removed.
Good luck!
Hi, I personally have not but my sister had the leep procedure done and conceived about 3-4 weeks later. She is 18 weeks and the pregnancy has been uncomplicated. I have patients (in labor & delivery) all the time that have had it and go on to have full term babies. In some cases, it can take those ladies a bit longer to dilate due to what feels like a tight band around the opening of the cervix, but most of the time, those ladies dilate just as fast as everyone else. I have seen no correlation with unscheduled c/section due to failure to progress and the leep procedure - it's a chance for everyone and from what I have seen and experienced, someone who has had a leep has just as good of a chance for a normal, full term baby as anyone else :)
