Pregnant? On Zoloft, Clonazepam, Ambien, and Abilify

I am on clonazepam, zoloft, ambien, and abilify. Can this make my birth control pills (Junel) less effective? I had unprotected sex after my period ended on my week off of the pills, it ended early which was strange because it often lasts a long time. I am a day late for my period now. I have been feeling rather strange lately, had cramps at the same time every night (more intense than my premenstrual cramps), have been eating much more, had mood swings, breasts are tender, my privates look different, and I have a little bit of a belly now. I am a very thin person so this is especially unusual. I also noticed that in the bath tub my abdomen feels very strange, kind of light and floaty? Could someone please put my mind at ease? I am also peeing much more often.

If I were you I would talk to your Dr. to make sure they don't mess with your birth control. If they do then you can discuss a different birth control method that would work with the medication your on.

I don't know if they would effect your bc. I don't think so. However, if you are pregnant those can effect your pregnancy. Especially the clonazepam as it is a benzodiazepine. Some of your symptoms are pregnancy symptoms. They could be symptoms of many other things as well though. I would definitely get a blood test just in case! Good luck hun!

Thanks for the reply! The thing is I just took one and it came back negative, but I had just had a lot of fluids. Could it be a false negative? I will try another test tomorrow morning with my first urine of the day.

I would take a test because medications can interfere with your birth control. Im not sure if your medications specifically interefere with it, but it is possible. I would also ask a doctor or pharmacist to see what medications do infact interefere with it and adjust your bc or medications accordingly!
