So last night I didn't have time to add this to my post, I had one my first one ever with my first pregnancy! And i had this one doctor who didn't tell me about the UTI for 3 months. I switched doctors found out, got the medicine and went into pre-term labor! So if you don't get it treated it can cause you to go into labor early! Ask your doctor if you don't believe me. I don't remember the medicine I was on, it was black and yellow though, 2 tablets a day for 7 days. I didn't know I had it because I was already going to the bathroom all the time, LOL So it's safe and super common!!!
Yes with both of my previous pregnancies thats how I found out I was PG, I had a UTI, very commen. The antibiotics are fine, you have to get rid of that infection, it can be harmful in the long run, if those infections keep growing it can stimulate your uterus to contract which would be bad so take the meds and get better! GOOD LUCK dear! PS this is why they check your urine every OB visit here on out. :)
yup it's actually very common to have UTI when you are pregnant.. i had it when i was about 8 weeks and i was prescribed ampicillin which is a type of penicillin 3 tablets of a high dosage for 7 days ,,and the infection went away..,it should be safe since it has a selective toxicity which means it targets the bacterial wall structure that us humans don't have so we wont be affected..my baby is healthy and am 22 weeks 1 day now...please take them as instructed because if not treated the infection can be severe and develop to kidney cysts which can effect you and the baby.
Yep... I had one (my first ever) of which I had no signs or symptoms, around 10 weeks. I was prescribed Macrobid which is commonly given for UTI's during pregnancy and is safe. I'm not sure of penicillin while pregnant but if your doctor prescribed it, I'm sure it's fine. If you're still unsure, ask him/her and ask for any alternatives. Mine cleared up within 5 days and I'm sure yours will too. Nothing to worry about, just make sure you take your antibiotics exactly as prescribed.
yes and yes!
i had one with my daughter! its normal
