You can google them in your area. You can also talk with your insurance provider. They will give you a list of them that's covered.
How do I find one of them?
You should see an endocornologist. Regular doctors even gynecologist don't know much about thyroid stuff. Definitely find a different doctor.
No the doctor doesn't know yet. Won't be able to get an appointment now till Monday. I don't see an endocornoligist. My doctor has been helping me with my prescriptions and blood work after struggling to concieve was diagnosed with hypothyroid.. But 2 month ago she knew I was pregnant but I found out on Friday i was! then had a gush of red blood on the Sunday night which went back to spotting. Told her on the Monday. All she said was take a test in a weeks time to see if its still positive and the fact that my thyroid was still 30. even tho she told me to carry on trying! :0 Didn't say nowt there and then about upping my prescription or blood work. Then I sadly miscarried on the Thursday.
Does the doctor know your pregnant? The endocornologist will know how much to give you. It's a lot different and has to be exact when your prego.
Wow thats high. The question is cos mine wasn't stable before I got pregnant. If they checked my level now they won't be sure how far to up my dose cos I don't go for my bloods for another 3 weeks to see how far the 100 has took it down.
I'm on 200 mcg. Very high dose. But it works!
Thank u for replying. Yes we was unable to concieve for 1 year. Found out I had a TSH of 93 a few month back in march. Started 50 mlg of levothyroxine went down to 30. Got pregnant that cycle but sadly miscarried at 4 weeks 5 days. Then got put on 75 mlg and it went down to 12. Iv now been on 100mlg for 3 weeks so still unsure wat my TSH is now.. Ill try and get to the doctors wen I can cos I know ul need higher medication wen pregnant.
Oh and my tsh has been below a 1 since I've been prego.
Your tsh has to be below a 2 when pregnant. I don't have a thyroid so I know all about hypothyroidism! You need to have it checked asap bc they would probably increase it some more. I get mine checked every 3-4 weeks. I spotted at 9 weeks but it was from my uterus expanding and my placenta forming. I'm 20 weeks now. Brown spotting is ok bc its old blood but a lot of red is not. I hope they get your tsh straightened out. It will make a huge difference. I changed doctors in Feb. Bc they could never get it below a 15 and my new endocornologist changed my meds and I got prego 2 weeks later. We tried conceiving for a year. Sorry this is so long. If you ever have questions you can ask me. I know all about thyroid problems especially during pregnancy.
