Prenatal Blood Screening

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can give some advice or a little clarification.....

My partner (15 weeks pregnant) had a blood screen done this week and the results are as follows:

HCGb - 21.5ng/mL
NT      - 1.1mm
PAPP-A  - 2929.20 mU/L

Can anyone give me an idea what this means?

I've googled a bit, but am a little confused?

Do the above results indicate that there is a high risk of Downs Syndrome or Edwards Syndrome? Or am I getting a little mixed up?

The 12 week ultrasound showed a healthy foetus, well developed and quite active.

Only think noted was that he couldn't get a good enough angle to confirm the second artery.

I couldn't find anything for the hcgb or papp-a because the units you have don't come up but the NT is very low they say anything greater than 2.0 is risk for downs andvthe NT alone has a 70% accuracy. So I think you are in the clear. You would have to talk to your doc about the other two. How old is she? That also has a lot to do with it.
