Prenatal Pills

Hey there, just wondering about taking prenatal pills.. I know your supposed to take them while trying to concieve (conceive), but do they increase your chances of getting pregnant??

No- they just build your vitamin stores as pregnancy is very taxing on your nutritional stores.

Folic acid is something you may want to add to your regimen, along with some other vitamins. Adding some vital vitamins to a prenatal can definitely help you conceive and protect baby against neural tube defects when you do become pregnant. Talk to a medical professional about what vitamins would suit you.

Thankyou, that answered my question.. do you have any advice on which vital vitamins are good to take??..
As of now im already taking Materna.. i have a 15 month old, and we got pregnant with him with no problems, i recently miscarried 3 months ago without even knowing i was pregnant, so this time around, i want to be very cautios and get advice from everyone

speaking of prenatal vitamins...
I was comparing my prenatals to my regular vitamins.
The prenatals had a lot more folic acid, but my regular womens vitamins had more of everything else???  doesn't make sense to me.  any thoughts?

I take a regular women's vitamin and a folic acid supplement, for the exact reason annaleesmom mentions.
