Prenatal vitamins

Question

Who is taking OTC prenatal vitamins and who is taking a prescription? I have been on a prescription but my insurance won't cover any more through my local pharmacy. I must do a mail order. I really don't want to mess with that. I am considering buying OTC vitamins. Anyone else taking them....what brand????

Thanks for all your help. I bought Stuart Prenatal vitamins OTC. I had a $10 off coupon so they were only $15. I think I may stick with them.

Im taking Flinstones chewables, although they are nasty tasting, it's the only vitamin my stomach can handle. I am the type of person who cannot have any special coating on the pills, the coating is supposed to help it be easy on your tummy, but actually makes me ill.

OTC and prescription Prenatal pills are all the same, they have all the same ingrediants, the prescription ones are just something else to help people make money they dont need. The only difference in the two are the coatings, my doc has told me he will never prescribe the prenatal prescriptions to his patients, it's a rip off he calls them lol.

Oh got the Nature made ones form costco.. costs like 12$ for 300 tablets:) They never  make me sick unless I am feeling pukey cos of the M/S anyways.

I am taking prenate elite prescription. I am doing fairly well on them. I put them next to my toothbrush so I remember to take them at night before I go to bed. I usually wake up a bit nauseous in the am, but if I eat a bowl of cereal asap after getting out of bed, I am usually fine.

I am taking OTC my ob said they are ok and that prescription ones make alot of women sick so I just have stuck with my OTC ones   I don't remember the name of the ones I take

I too have been taking women's one a day.. I have a hard time w/ them though.. I am the worst pill swallower ever!!!

I take OTC Prenatal Vitamins. Only because when I found out I was Pregnant last year I hadn't had my first Prenatal Appointment yet so I picked up One Source at Walmart (pink bottle) you get like 275 of them for $7 I believe. Great Deal! And their very easy on the stomach..my tummy is very sensitive and I haven't had a problem with them yet.

Hi,  I cant stand the prescription pre-natals.  they make me sick,  I have been taking Womans one a day reproductive health.  My ob said it was fine.
