Questions after 2nd miscarriage

I have just had my second miscarriage and I would like to know what questions or tests I should inquire about with my doctor. I have one healthy child but this past year have miscarried twice about 7 months apart without the need for a d/c. My doctor does not seem to be concerned, but it doesn't make me feel any better. I continue to take folic acid and eat healthy- what else can I do? What else can I inquire about?

joyrenee is right. This happened to me as well .I had 2 in a  3 months time. They did lots of tests. I had to ask for them because i wanted to know what was wrong. They usually do them after 3 but i demanded them. I had everything done , blood clots, thyroids, stds, lupas and many more things checked. All came back normal. They didnt want to send me to genetic testing because i already had 2 healthy children all from the same man. I hope you the best.

Oh, and there really aren't any other ways to prevent miscarriage unless progesterone is the problem. Just keep eating a healthy diet, exercising, and taking a vitamin daily! And drink a TON of water!!!

The reason your doctor doesn't seem concerned is because 1). you have given birth to a child before and 2). it is common for women to miscarry once or twice in her lifetime.

Yeah, it sucks and I know it doesn't make you feel better. So this is why I'm going to give you this information:

If you become pregnant again you need to get your progesterone levels checked. Most miscarriages occur because of a defect in the fertilized egg. But a lot of times women don't have enough progesterone which is necessary to support the pregnancy.

I have 2 daughters. I got pregnant after my first daughter was born and I miscarried that pregnancy. I became pregnant again and my second daughter was born fit as a fiddle. Two miscarriages doesn't mean it'll happen again. But I definitely know you'll be worried whenever you see two pink lines again! *HUGS*
