Ive been reading alot of these post... How do u know that you are dilated? Whats a mucus plug? Im 32 weeks and kinda freaking out.. I am in alot of pain and have no idea whats in store... What is head locking? Im so lost

Your mucus plug is accumulated mucus in your cervix. It keeps everything out while your pregnant and discharges before labor. Head locking is when the baby moves down into your birth canal, locked into position, ready for birth.

Mucus plug is just that, a plug at your cervix that separates your baby from the vagina and keeps her from infections. You will lose it eventually, as labor approaches

you can't really feel your body dilating, you'll have to be checked and the doctor will tell you. your mucus plug is the the mucus that's in your cervix. it doesn't necessarily come out as a whole, you can lose it little by little or altogether. it doesn't mean you're going to go into labor either. you can lose it, and it can grow back. and head locking would most likely be your baby being engaged in the birth canal. that's when your belly "drops" you'll feel tons of pressure in your pelvic area and notice a difference in your belly.

They usually check you at 36 to 37 weeka to see if your dilated
