I have been on the Ortho Evra birth control patch for about five months, and have always used condoms while having sex until recently. The patch is on for three weeks at a time (new patch every Sunday) and off one week.
My boyfriend and I had sex a few days before I had to take my patch off for the week. Lately I have been having bad cramping but my period is not showing up. Generally, I get my period within a day or two of taking the patch off. I am wondering what the chances are of me being pregnant.

Used correctly, I think the patch has a 1 to 2 percent failure rate. It also is associated with irregular bleeding. I agree with ExpectingaRedhead, tho . . . you shoul take a test . .
