Regulation after stopping BC

I wanted to hear from other posters out there, how long it took for AF to be regular after stopping birth control pills?

I stopped pills in January, and immediately got my period.  (I think everyone gets that initial period after stopping the pills)  Then 31 days later, I got another period.  So, I felt like I became regular right away.  Now I am CD 34, and still no AF.  I suppose I could be pregnant, but using ovulation kits, I didn't even detect any ovulation.  

I would love to hear others' stories on how long it took them to begin ovulating and getting regular periods.  I think I'll take a hpt if I still don't have af in a couple days.

Thanks for your response.  Everything I've read has said that bc is literally out of the system in like 2 days after stopping, but when our bodies are forced not to ovulate for so long (I was on bc for 10 years) it can take a while to ovulate again.  It's just frustrating. :-(

I went off birth control in Oct and had 4 regular periods, 27 days exactly. The next month I was 30 days and this last period I was 36 days. I think sometimes it takes a while for the birth control to get out of your system and periods stay a little regular because of that. I was ovulating around CD 15 or 16 and I am now more around CD 19 or 20. I think you just have to give your body time to get those hormones back in check maybe...but that does not mean you wouldn't be PG either. I thought it was great since I was so regular right away, but that has changed now. I was on BC for 12 years though...so it took my body a long time to adjust to being off it.
