Removal of Cerclage at 34weeks

Hello I am 34weeks,
My Dr. wants to remove my Cerclage at next week, my baby is 7lbs and he said his lungs are strongly develope i had 2 shots of steroids to mature the lungs. He wants to do my Csection early because I have high blood presure and G/D im scared of the removal of the Cerclage more than the Csection ive had one Csection 8years ago. Have any one had a Cerclage before and had it removed? is it painful? any advise? Thank you in advance.
