Report for Ultrasonography of T.V.S.

Hi,
I am Arunava. My wife is pregnant. We are not aware of it till last month. On contacting Doctor, he adviced her to get a USG of T.V.S. We have done that. The report is as follows?

Single, live, active,intraauterine and cardiac fetus in unstable lie is noted.
Intrauterine fetal movement and cardiac activity are normal.
Placenta-Low lying anterior, of Gr. '0' maturity.
Amniotic fluid is adequate.
OS is closed and cervix is competent.

FETAL BIOMETRY:-

CRL   57mm 12 weeks 1day
BPD   20mm 12 weeks 1 day
HC     72mm 12 weeks 2 days
HR     158b/min

Gestational age by LMP = 7 weeks 1day
Gestational age by USG = 12 weeks 3 day
Cal. EDD = 27/02/11

Intra-cranial anatomy, nuchal lucency (0.9 mm), nasal bone, diaphragm, stomach urinary bladder & limbs are visualised and apprears normal.

My query is:

1. Is there any complication in pregnancy?
2. Is there anything fatal for my wife?


Pls advice, she is in bed rest now as per doctor's advice.

It says gestational age is 12 weeks....

Everything on that ultrasound sounds like a normal pregnancy to me. But like blueeyedtabbycat said I wouldn't go by that due date. I would go by the USG since before 13 weeks all babies develop at the same rate so it would be weird for it to be 7 weeks. I agree though that it is weird that she is on bed rest. Did they give her a reason?

first off WOW! baby is measuring over 5 weeks larger???  I am not sure I would go by their due date they gave you. Baby could be born 5 weeks early if they deside to induce because she is considered "over due" but really not, unless its right. Okay sorry I bet I am confusing you, I am confused myself, lol.
Can I ask why she is on bed rest???  The report you have here basicly says everything is okay besides having a low lying placenta with can be normal and may even rise.

The baby is physicaly normal no Down syndrome the baby seems fine... She has a low lying placenta which could be placenta previa,... But her dr would be the only one able to tell you for sure
