Rising HCG during Miscarriage

I found out I was pregnant through a home pregnancy test last Friday. The following Wednesday, I went to the ER because I had brown discharge. They did blood tests and an ultrasound. They said my HCG was at 2000, and estimated me to be between four and five weeks pregnant. They also found a 5cm cyst on my left ovary. Two days later, Friday, I had a lot of bleeding so I went back to the ER. My HCG was 3325, but they said I was probably going to miscarry. The doctor said my HCG should level off or drop to confirm. Since then, I have been bleeding a small amount every few hours, but have not passed clots or tissue. I had another HCG blood test done today and they said my level was at 6552. Is there any change I am not miscarrying? During two pelvic exams, I was told my cervix was completely closed, and my HCG is rising normally.

I had spotting in my first pregnancy and some major bleeding this pregnancy at 9 weeks - I'm now 12 weeks with a healthy baby.  When is your first doctors appointment?  At this point you should see a sac and probably a heartbeat.

Thank you. I am praying too! I have an appointment with an OBGYN tomorrow, so hopefully they will tell me something more. I have only seen physicians in the ER because this all happened so quickly. Within one week I was pregnant, then possibly miscarrying. I just don't see how I could be experiencing a miscarriage if my HCG levels increased that drastically in two days. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Some women do have some bleeding during the first trimester. Is your doctor going to continue to monitor your levels? Or do another ultrasound? I'm sorry you're going through this. It is so frustrating. I pray everything is okay and you have a healthy pregnancy and a happy healthy baby!
