Thats weird not sure where my post went. Im a dental assistant and have one myself they don't hurt. The only reason they hurt is if you wait months to get it done and the tooth becomes infected so the anesthetic is fighting the infection therefore you dont get numb. Otherwise its just like another dental procedure.

I had one before. The part that hurts is the shots on the gums to make your mouth numb. All you will feel during the process is the pressure of the utensils the doc is using. After your mouth will be sore and its best to be on liquid eating.
I had them done but completely sedated by IV ....
