Scared of labor!

At my last checkup, my midwife did a "pelvic exam" where she stuck two fingers in me to feel my cervix I guess (I'm 29 weeks) and it seriously hurt SO bad!! It felt like she had claws! I left thinking "how in the world am I gunna push a baby out?"  I'm so scared of the whole thing, mostly the pain. I'm such a whimp :(

I was 19 when i had my son i had no pain relief and I'm a sook i screamed like a mad lady and threatened to kill people. But that was only during the strongest contractions and as soon as bub was born the pain left immediately. You can do it no problems. It os a truly amazing experience and it is so worth every bit of pain

I'm on the same boat I can't tolerate pain. I cried a bit when I got blood drawn last week the lady left me all bruised up I felt like she was trying to sew my arm she left me 2 little dots & kept moving the needle back& forth. I honestly think I'm more scared of getting hooked up to the IV thing then giving birth lol. I plan on going natural with no meds because theres no way I'm getting that epidural. My biggest fear is passing out from the pain though because I've passed out before from painful cramps when I get my period it *****.

Your body is designed for this. Don't be afraid. I was so scared of the whole process but I hear contractions are worse than the actual pushing. I had an emergency c section after about 30+ hours of pitocin induced contractions. Remember to breathe through it. Find an object in the room and when you feel a contraction coming, focus on the object and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. If you're considering pain medication don't be afraid to ask for them when you're in pain. I got the epidural and it was a real life saver for me. Before I got the epi I was using IV pain medication to help me deal with contractions. I'm not good with pain either but you can do it!!!!
