With my daughter, it was only one night of drinking, and found myself pregnant. Luckily, I'm with a great guy now and would love to have more kids in the future, but the risks out weigh the benefits right now. But, we'll see what the doc says and if he can suggest anything.
Can I have your fertility? ;) oh man it took me 34 months to get pregnant.
My last was concieved while on BC. I was pretty put out about it for a while but then I started getting excited. My daughter is now 8 weeks old and I couldn't imagine her not being here. I'm sorry you are so stressed but things always have a way of working out.
I am sorry you are going through this hun..My first two were conceived on birth control..my last on the other hand, was planned, with no contraceptives..I guess you are just fertile mertile lol I really hope everything works out for you, and your health
Sorry you are having a rough time Kels. I really hope everything works out for you and that you and baby stay safe. Hang in there and keep us posted!
And I have always believed that everything happens for a reason, but still....Had I known I was giong to get pregnant, I would have taken care of all my health problems first. Regardless, a pregnancy was not expected by either one of us, but it's just frustrating that I try and prevent things like this and can still get pregnant. Will keep you updated on what the doc says.
Sometimes a pregnancy is just meant to be, for whatever reason. My Mom conceived my brother while she was on the pill, he used a condom and it was the time she lost her virginity.
Ha! I always try and play the lotto. Most I've won at once was $1,100, still waiting for my millions....
Oh you WERE combining methods...wow, then you are just good at defying the odds! Have you thought of playing the lottery? :) (trying to make you smile)
I'm sorry hon. The best way to make it safer is to combine methods...like use the pills AND a spermicide, or the sponge, or a condom as well...but pills actually fail a lot more than people think. I"m sorry you're so stressed...hopefully you and the doctor can come up with a way for you AND baby to be safe. Hang in there and just see what they say...I know the waiting is hard but hopefully you won't have to wait too long before getting an answer.
I know nothing is 100%, but I figured two methods at once would help not get pregnant.
I got pregnant my first time in 2005 using the pill. Ended in miscarriage. Had a baby in 2009 (not on birth control). And have been on the pill since and low and behold....
I am taking it not for the sake of not having a baby, but because for health reasons, a pregnancy could be fatal to me right now. I have to meet with the specialist to verify if I have to terminate or not. But this is getting ridiculous. I have so many emotions right now, but I guess I am just really frustrated.
Like Ashelen said. To just help reduce the chances. When used properly most have a very low failure rate, but nothing (even sterilization) is 100%
To reduce the chances :). Did this recently happen to you? I got pregnant in 2007 while on birth control, but miscarried. I'm now very nervous about my birth control failing, and in fact even though I've been VERY accurate taking mine (within the same 20 minutes EVERY NIGHT for the past 4 months) I'm 4 days late for AF so a bit nervous.
