Severe Heartburn and Acid Reflux

I'm 18 weeks and I threw up last night because of my stupid acid. It hit at around 12 weeks and has only gotten worse. It started as heartburn and tums were magical. Then it got worse and worse. I got it so bad every night I couldn't sleep. I had to take Pepcid AC before bed just to hope to sleep. To add to it, I get Acid Reflux, too. The acid burnt feeling not only sits in my stomach and chest and goes through my intestines with a diarreah feeling, but also comes up my throat. I get gurgles and my gag reflex kicks into overdrive and I have to swallow it down. Well, last night even with preventative tums and Pepcid AC I still couldn't swallow it down. It came up along with my entire dinner.

My mom and her mom had it the ENTIRE PREGNANCY. Pepcid AC isn't working anymore. Eating certain foods and avoiding others doesn't do much. I sleep sitting up most of the time. After I threw up last night, although I felt generally crappy I realized that was the most "relaxed" and "comfortable" I'd been trying to sleep in WEEKS.

I see the dr on Thursday and this is definitely coming up lol. It's only getting worse, is all day AND all night now, and idk what to do. It's every day. Literally do not get a break and I am BEYOND miserable. x___x

Do any of you ladies have remedies that worked for you? Mainly for when I feel the acid reflux gurgle gags coming on?

Have you tried drinking milk when you feel it coming on? That usually helps me a lot.
