Sex and labor

Okay i am 37 weeks now so I am gonna start walking and doing the "sex" thing and all the other stuff to get ready for labor.  So me and hubby tried sex last night for the first time in like a month, cause really weve only done it maybe 10 or 12 times through this whole pregnancy.  I couldnt do it, it was to uncomfortable and it hurt, it just felt like I had to pee so bad the whole time,  And I know its cause my doctor has said that my babies head is very very low right now.  So I had to stop, but i know it only counts when the sperm gets on the cervix, so my question is does it have to be the end of sex sperm or can pre sperm count too?  And after we stopped Hubby finished himself and right when he was getting off he hurryd up and stuck it in to get that sperm on my cervix, will that work?  sorry tmi, but i really want to help get my body and stuff ready for whenever baby is.. Thanks

well sperm has prostaglandins in it which naturally help to soften the cervix..so it can still help. they say orgasm makes your uterus contract, so that in combination with the sperm is probably better than just sperm but even so it's still going to help soften your cervix.

I think, like everything else, sex doesn't work unless your body is ready anyway. I truly believe that walking works the best as gravity will help the baby get even lower, which in turn will help get dilation started. To answer your question, I don't think it matters when the semen gets on the cervix, as long as it does, lol
