I thought it had the same kinda feeling that "sitting on a kebab skewer" would have lol
They aren't a constant pain. It's more like a stabbing pain off and on through out the day. It just comes and goes as it pleases. I actually went from that "kicked in the coochie" feeling (which was contant pain) to now this. I dunno. I guess I'm just paranoid....You ladies do put my mind at ease....
I have had these from about 10 weews. My midwife says its the stetching and pressure on the cervix. Bloody agony :(
I have been also having them pretty randomly. I really never thought anything of it until I saw your post. I would think it could be from streching but I also read it could be from dialiation. I had my cervix checked by my doc yesterday and I am not dialiating yet so who knows?
my doctor told me that due to the stretching and weight of the baby, it plays havoc on the nerves down there, and that is what I am feeling!! I am 31w also, and have been getting these pains since the end of the first trimester.
Ohhh my god do I know your pain. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and I have been having those pains in the V area for weeks and weeks now like a horse kicked me there, So I did ask the Dr, he did state it could be the weight of the baby, the way my body is carrying the baby and just everything was making room for baby. He did say those belts help out because it can help relieve pressure down below, however I did not get it but just a recommendation.
Good luck!
One of the Nurse Practitioners told me it was just things stretching, etc. I've had a few more lately but I've noticed it's when the baby gets down on my bladder and in that area. I wonder if maybe he's hitting a nerve.
I have an appt. next Thurs on the 17th and I will definately run it by him. I was just reading in my MayoClinc book that sharp pains in the vagina was dialation. I tried to do more research and came up with nothing. I guess because I was pre-term w/ my last baby, I'm paranoid it will happen again. I get these pains through out the whole day...Strange feeling.
I as well have been getting them random. I just though they were from the stretching....Ask your dr. about them :o)
I have gotten them also but my midwife says it's most likely from stretching. They are pretty random so I haven't worried too much about it. When is your next appt?
