No matter what Dr you go to most don't do a us unless they have a concern or there is an issue. I've gotten 3 us and I'm high risk. One dating because I found out late the 20 week then one to check fluid cause my height was small. Now I'm 39 Weeks 3 days and have one last one Monday only because they want to do a stress test on her and if things are fine we discuss induction in Thursday. Don't be disappointed if you are comfortable with Dr keep him it's hard to find if not change it don't do it just for a us though. Less us is better for bby anyway. They don't hurt them but they are high frequency sound waves that if they get next to bbys ears make them uncomfortable. Mine hated it when they look at her head lol
As far as I know, most people only get 2 u/s their entire pregnancy unless it's a high risk pregnancy if im not mistaken.
there's really nothing to see at first, my baby looked like a potato chip lol. The longer u wait the more baby it looks. If everything else has been fine then so should baby... And they say frequency ultrasound shouldn't be done, depending on how frequent. Your insurance may also play a big role in how and when u get them
Yes you could always change, if your needs aren't met then get another one. Maybe you have friends or family who can refer you to a better one? Ask questions before you transfer to a new one!
I have a 2 yr old and I am currently pregnant -6w4d with my second and with my first child she took a total of 8 u/s. I had my first u/s yesterday and she is very thorough at each appointment. If it were me I would be looking for another Doc. Im not saying he isnt a good Doc but if you feel like you need more infomation and better care I would consider looking for some else to meet my needs.
Really? I didn't know that lol. I would like to change to a doctor who does frequent ultrasounds
Not every person gets an ultrasound in the first trimester. Some girls first ultrasound is at their 20 week scan.
